Dr.Wang Zaiqing Back from Canada

In the evening of June 30 2008, Dr. Wang Zaiqing, one of the 3rd team visiting scholars sent by CWRC arrived home after completing a half-year study in Canada.

The 3rd team consists of 4 member, including Li Jianyong—deputy director of the Bureau of Hydrology, Wang Zaiqin--vice president of the Yangtze Scientific Research Institute, Hu Jun--deputy general manager of the Hanjiang Corporation and Zhang Jingsheng--assistant chief engineer of the Changjiang Institute of Planning, Design, and Research. The team began a six-month study when arrived University of Regina, Canada on December 30, 2007, carrying out a series of academic exchanges and corresponding research activities combined with the CWRC.

In order to better learn advanced foreign technology, intensify the training effects for senior levels on harnessing the Yangtze, and meet the needs of modern water conservancy construction, according to the “CWRC Plan on Senior Personnel of Harnessing the Yangtze”, and the “CWRC for Cadre’s Education and Training Planning (2006-2010)”, CWRC continues its work on selecting and sending visiting scholars. Approved by the Party Group in September 2007, 4 members have been sent to Canada as the 3rd team of CWRC visiting scholars.
