Visiting Scholars in Regina University of Canada from CWRC Make Academic Exchange

A four-member delegation of visiting scholar in Regina University of Canada from Changjiang Water Resources Commission (CWRC) made first academic exchange recently in the University.

On May 25, the visiting scholars from CWRC made a special academic exchange with the experts & scholars of Regina University. The visiting scholars made special reports on reservoir construction and regulation, dam concrete techniques, application of GIS techniques, hydrological observation and water resources management. Seven experts and scholars from Regina University also made special exchanges on environmental protection, pollution control and water resources forecast techniques. The visiting scholars from Beijing University took part in the activity.

Mr. Wang Zaiqin,deputy president of Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute made a report on “Study on Alkali-activities of Concrete Granite Aggregate and Durability of Concrete in Three Gorges Project—Concrete Protection Materials”.

The experts and scholars hoped to strengthen exchange and cooperation to promote the development of relevant specialties in future.
